Cognos® Solutions Offer Supply Chain Performance Reporting Over The Descartes Global Logistics Services Network

WATERLOO, ONTARIO, July 30, 2001 — The Descartes Systems Group Inc., (Nasdaq:DSGX), (TSE:DSG), a leading provider of collaborative logistics management technology, today announced that Cognos’® (Nasdaq:COGN;TSE:CSN) award-winning query, analysis and reporting solutions are available to participants on the Descartes Global Logistics Services Network. The Descartes Network is a central communications infrastructure for the supply chains of many Fortune 500 enterprises and the global logistics community. Millions of logistics-related messages are exchanged via the Descartes Network each month to provide companies with real-time visibility into their supply chains.
